A Sumner County mother is expressing her frustration with school dress policy after her 6th grade daughter was told to put on a hoodie because of her clothing. The mom, who we will not identify to avoid identifying her daughter, says her child goes to Portland East Middle School and was dress coded today due to her choice in attire. Her daughter wore a tee shirt with leggings which had a laced design from the bottom of the calf to the ankle.
