Time capsules, social media or parking disputes–what was the motive for Mission Peak pole vandalism?
Since long before the pole was cut down, the Mission Peak hike has been the center of controversy. The most popular access point is on Stanford Avenue, and for the past decade, there has been a running battle between the wealthy enclave that surrounds that trailhead and the hikers that park in their neighborhood.
