In 2018, Shiseido acquired the ”Second Skin” business from a US venture company called Olivo Laboratories. By combining the ”Second Skin” technology by Olivo with Shiseido’s strengths in technology and the global marketing capability, we aim to become a pioneer in a completely new area in cosmetics, such as skin care including correction of wrinkles and sagging with instant and sustained effects.
