THESE GLOVES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR HARD SPARRING / STEEL SPARRING.Whew, now that we've gotten that out of the wayThese lacrosse-style padded gloves feature hard plastic plates internally on all of the fingers, and thick foam padding with a hook and loop tightening strap around the wrist. They offer more protection than a standard hockey or lacrosse glove, and are best used in drilling applications or light freeplay. They are a cost-effective choice for those looking for some hand protection. Many people choose to use these with single handed weapons as well, including on the buckler hand when doing sword and buckler. As stated above, they will not be sufficient for hard sparring with ANY weapon, including single-handed options. Why do we have them?
