Our sterile in house made fruit fly media is the perfect match for your fruit flies. Pair this product with our excelsior and some of our flightless flies and you are well on your way to feeder heaven. This media mix is mold resistant and long lasting, all while giving your fruit flies exactly what they need to reproduce properly and quickly. This product is a fine powder meant to quickly absorb liquid and hold it in so your fruit flies never run out of moisture. Preparation Instructions: Optional: Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to every cup of this mixture for added protection against mold. 2. Pour R/O or boiling water on the fruit fly mix 3. Lightly mix in the water and add more until it forms a cookie dough like consistency. 4. Allow to cool to room temperature, and add to your fruit fly cultures (roughly 1/3 of the container). If you feel as though it is getting to dry, spray with R/O water. 5. Add 50-100 fruit flies for best results. Note: This product contains a mold inhibitor, please shake well prior to use.
