West Point football star Andre Carter now free to pursue NFL
The new provision still requires Army, Navy and Air Force athletes who enrolled at the academies after June 2021 to finish their military service before they pursue pro careers. Athletes who joined before that date can still defer their military service under the 2019 rule.
