Cardiology nurse creates Compassion Closet
A cardiology nurse comes up with a great idea that's making patients feel comfortable and clothed before they're discharged. In this week's Pay It Forward, Jessica Harthorn surprises her at Erlanger Hospital. About a year ago, Taylor Theobald recognized a need in the Cardiac Step Down unit. Some of her patients didn't have appropriate clothes to wear home, after they were discharged from heart and lung surgery. So she put out the call to start a "Compassion Closet. "
